Most of the marshmallows fell into the juice and dissolved, and I ended up with yams floating in a watery juice. They tasted fine, but looked awful. Next time, I'll know to drain them. I used more marshmallows then the recipe called for and I think that along with the smashing of the yams prevented them from melting into the yams too much. Very tasty!!
